1. 3. Welding of building steel bars exceeding the required diameter is prohibited, and the main reinforcement must be welded first and then cold drawn. To ensure the quality of electric welding, dredging, rust prevention treatment, and correction work should be carried out within the range of approximately 150mm from the edge.
4. When operating staff, it is necessary to wear colored goggles and helmets to prevent electric light from affecting the eyes and molten metal materials from burning the skin.
5. Pneumatic welding machines should be stopped in dry and naturally ventilated areas for cleaning. Pneumatic welding machines used on the spot should be equipped with a waterproof, rainproof, and sun proof isolation shed, and fire safety equipment should be readily available. Flammable materials should not be piled up within the welding scope.
6. The pneumatic welding machine should be equipped with a dedicated wiring power switch and installed in the switch box. The capacity of the fuse should be 1.5 times the capacity of the equipment. The grounding device of the welding machine casing must be excellent.
7. Inspect the appearance after welding, and try to upset the overlapping steel bars as much as possible, with no cracks or significant burns on the surface. The centerline of the connecting head should not exceed 6 °, the diameter should not exceed 1/10 of the steel bar specification, and should not exceed 3mm.
